I’ve read many books explaining the complexities of how jazz pianists make great sound, but Al Stevens does a fantastic job of not only explaining the topic, but does it with clarity, direction, and purpose. His writing style is organized and presented in such a way as if you were talking to him one on one. It seems that Al is not only a great musician, but also an awesome teacher.
