I bought this book for a class and it was very informative. It helped quite a bit when it came to studying for tests. The pictures help distinguish between different instruments because some of them look alike. I would highly recommend this book.
1) Not happy with the seller for marking this as “Goodâ€. It is a school lab book with “property of... “ written on it and is pretty gross (dirty). 2) I bought this to learn the instruments and the book had good reviews but the pics are blurry. I guess helpful for getting the general concept but not details.
I work in sterile processing, this really helped in learning the instrument names. It covers more than the flashcards did, which are great too by the way to know the basics. Whether it will prepare you for the OR, I couldn't say, I'm not a surgeon, nurse, or surgical tech. It does help us in central service to make sure that the OR has the right instruments in the first place.
Great book with good description and good pictures. Wish it was better paper quality but still good.

Great book. Lots of pictures so you can really learn the instruments. The problem is that different hospitals and doctors, nurses, sterile processing departments, manufacturers and so on call instruments by different names so if you learn the names by only one source you'll be wrong somewhere down the line. It's just the way it is.
