After long last, it has finally arrived! (Note: images of items and of sample pages are attached at the end of this review.)This box set contains two new Grimm Fairy Tales coloring books, "Grimm Fairy Tales Vol. 2" and "Grimm Fairy Tales Myths & Legends". (For some reason Amazon isn't letting me insert the direct product links for either of those books, so you can find the Amazon pages for them on the Grimm Fairy Tales Adult Coloring Book page and then clicking the "See all 3 formats and editions" link, then expanding the "Paperback" subcategory. Not sure why they are being listed as separate editions because they're clearly entirely different volumes...). It also includes a deck of 10 small art cards, a 10-pack of colored pencils, and a nice collectable box for them all.As for the "main event" of this item: the actual coloring books. As far as the art goes, it's pretty much what one would expect based on the previous two (Grimm Fairy Tales Adult Coloring Book and Grimm Fairy Tales Adult Coloring Book Different Seasons). There is a nice assortment of art styles (and artists), scene types, characters, and themes. There are also a good number of pages that are just patterns/mandalas (though they are generally on-theme with the rest of the book) interspersed throughout both books; some people consider these pages as "filler" but I know a lot of people also enjoy coloring more abstract-style things like this, so you can decide on whether you'll view this as a positive or negative based on your own preferences.I can't be certain on this, but it feels like the books' paper is a slightly higher quality than the previous two GFT coloring books used... but anyone that prefers wet mediums (markers, watercolors, etc.) will be disappointed to learn that it isn't notably thicker or heavier than the previous books... so you should expect bleed-through and plan accordingly. The 10 4"x6" art print cards are kind of cool. Five of them I recognize as coming from pictures that were featured in one of the previous coloring books or in the Alice in Wonderland Adult Coloring Book one. Three of the others feature art that I saw while flipping through the two new books in the box set, so I'm going to assume the other two do as well. The art cards are printed on a nice, heavier weight paper (which is actually the kind of paper I'd have liked the entire coloring books to be printed on) and also have a nice little plastic envelope for them. I'm not certain what I'm going to do with these as they're a bit too small (and the artwork a bit too detailed) to make for good coloring with colored pencils.Speaking of colored pencils, the box also comes with a set of 10 colored pencils with an appearance fitting for a GFT coloring book box set! They are full-body black (both the surface area of the pencil wood and the pencil wood itself). I haven't given these a try, yet, but I believe they are a pretty standard wax-based colored pencil. I prefer my Polychromos oil-based colored pencils and supplement them with a set of Prismacolor Premiers, so it's unlikely I'll really be using these... but they still look pretty cool.I would strongly advise anyone to NOT rely on the included pencils if buying this for yourself or as a gift, as the range of colors possible using the 10 pencils in this set is very, very limited (I think you'd really need a minimum of a 36-color set).Lastly, it's worth mentioning that the box, itself, is pretty nice! It has a magnet-flap clasping mechanism that will keep the contents from spilling out (or at least from spilling out too easily), and the box itself features line art you can color to personalize your box and to "show off" your art skills. I don't really see myself coloring the exterior of the box, personally, but I imagine there are those would find this prospect appealing. So, in summary: Would I recommend this? If you're a fan of the Grimm Fairy Tales comic series, or if you have colored one of the previous books (either the GFT Vol 1, GFT Different Seasons, or the Wonderland coloring books) and enjoyed it, then absolutely! Right now, the price of the box set is about equal to the current list prices for buying both of the books separately but you also get the box, colored pencils, and art cards... AND both of the books aren't available to purchase independent of the box set until late Dec. 2017/early Jan. 2018... so you can't really go wrong with the box set.If you've bought or looked any of the previous books and weren't particularly impressed with it or just didn't enjoy it, then I'd tell you a solid "no" (because this is ultimately just more of the same). If you aren't familiar with the comic books, never had or seen the previous coloring books in this series, and are on the fence about buying this item, I would suggest buying the first Grimm Fairy Tales coloring book, first, as it will provide a very good representation of what can be expected from the books contained in this set.

I am a huge fan of the Zenescope productions. I have fallen especially in love with their coloring books. The paper isn't the greatest, but I normally scan and print my images on the paper suited to the medium I am going to use. Colored pencils are my favorite and I have 6 different brands that react differently with the paper choices. I have always been captivated by the comic book style of art so this is exactly what I am looking forward to. As an end note, I am a middle aged male that loves to color. Don't think for a minute that men don't color. Zenescope Adult Coloring Group. find us

Received mine FINALLY! It was worth the wait though, because the 2 new books are phenomenal, plus the pencils, and several cards that came with it! Haven't used the pencils yet in a coloring, but I will soon. I will be updating this post as soon as I can with a colored photo of mine from one of the two books etc. If you have one ordered, or are still waiting to receive it, trust me. It's worth it! :D

So happy I finally bought this set, it’s been in my cart forever. I didn’t know it came with two fat coloring books, full of beautiful art. The pages are pretty good, definitely better than the first book. The box is beautiful enough to use for saving stuff, the card set is great and the color pencils aren’t prismacolors but they are nice to look at and good enough to color with.

Loved this boxed set. The coloring books within have a variety of nice character pictures to color that work well with Prisma Colors Pencils. Only things I did not like is there were not more coloring books, and the filler pages with designs were bland, I wish they would have left off the misc shapes and designs that flowed in front of characters that detracted from the pictures of the females. I look forward to more coloring books like these and hopefully this time they will make the pages detach rather than having to pull the books apart.

Not a bad purchase for what u get the only thing is to me would be the price that’s why I’m glad I got it on sale to me not enough pages for between both books and for what u pay and no this is not a 500 page books that’s why I got it to start with even though it comes with coloring pencils to me still not worth the money u spend on this to me it’s only worth 24 dollars to me

It's been a bit of a wait, but the set is absolutely gorgeous. The entire set is beautiful, and I can't wait to use it.

I have been waiting... and waiting... and waiting for this to come out and finally it's here. I have two other of the Grimm Fairy Tale coloring books and I love them. At first look, these have the same quality and image types. I won't use the coloring pencils because I love my Prismacolors but I'm in love with the box and the artistry of the pictures.
